What causes the absolute path toward personal destruction? Is the path built, one bad decision at a time, or inherited?

My own course to self-destruction was when I realized I was free to create my life as I wanted it. No longer tied to other’s expectations, I didn’t know who to be or how to act or where to go.

It was alarming and uncomfortable.

Only aspire to the things you can award yourself: Honor; integrity; honesty; patience; perseverance.

1. If you can find a person whom is unpretentious, one you can sit with when there is nothing left to talk about, keep that person in your life. It is the times together, in silence and comfortable in their company, your soul may rest.
2. Deep wounds become deep scars; ever present.
3. Learn how to identify snake oil salesman and other shady individuals of various types and descriptions that are unhealthy for you.
4. Micro-cracking is the self-descriptive, common response of most materials to internal stress. Watch for cracks in your character.
5. Every day in the morning when you get up and you fall out of bed and you know this day won’t be any better than the last. But you go on with the pains in your chest and you carry your shattered heart.
